What we keep about members and visitors, why, for how long, and your rights. Last updated 31 October 2026.

1. What we keep

  • Your account: email, name and plan.
  • Your API key, only as a fingerprint, never the key itself.
  • Usage counts per day, and the API and page logs (the address you visit from, your country, your browser and the page asked for).
  • Support tickets.

2. Card details

Never held by us. Stripe takes the payment and keeps the card.

3. Why

To run the API, bill it, answer support, stop abuse and keep it secure. Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising tracking.

4. Who else handles it

  • Stripe (payments).
  • Cloudflare (network and security).
  • Our email provider, through Developer Data.
  • Google, for sign-in: signing in with Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with Developer Data; we keep the name and email, not the picture. While you are signed out, pages load Google's sign-in script, so Google receives your IP address and may use its own cookies.
  • The hosting company.

5. Cookies

  • bb_sess: your sign-in session, 30 days.
  • bb_gs and bb_ot: ten minutes each, protecting the Google sign-in.
  • bb_out: one minute after signing out, so Google's pop-up does not open again at once.
  • ap_click: first-party, remembers which partner sent you so the partner can be credited for a purchase; holds no personal details; 60 days.

No third-party analytics cookies. The documentation keeps your key in your own browser's storage, never sent anywhere but the API.

6. How long it is kept

  • Your account: while it is open; after deletion, gone within 30 days, backups included.
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after deletion.
  • Page, API and security logs: 30 days.
  • Support tickets: while the account is open, then deleted with it.

7. Your rights

To see what we hold, have it corrected, take a copy, or have it deleted: ask through Support; we answer within 30 days.

8. Deleting an account

From your account: Delete my account. Your key stops at once, you are signed out, a paid plan is cancelled (the unused part is not refunded), and your account is deleted within 30 days. If you cannot sign in, ask through Support.

9. Children

Not for anyone under 18.

10. Changes

Posted here with the date; a change that matters is emailed first.
